Join PTO Thursday, March 5th at 5:30 for a BBQ dinner. Dinner plates are $5.00 each. The meeting will begin at 6:00. Speakers include Jason Downey, from District 6 of the Bibb County Board of Education and Anthony Blasingame, from the Assessment and Accountability, will present important information about the upcoming Georgia Milestones test. HMS's Advanced Orchestra students will perform.
We will be administering the Georgia MilestonesTest to all Howard students during the weeks of April 20th-April 30th, 2015.Proctors will be needed for each homeroom to assist teachers with administering the Georgia Milestones. We will need approximately 50 proctors per day, so it is essential that we have a large number of volunteers. PLEASE check your calendars and consider helping us by volunteering to proctor in one of our classrooms.
Come see the Theatre Macon, YAC performance of “The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe” and help raise money for a special education class trip. Howard Middle School Access classes will be selling tickets for the dress rehearsal of “The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe” on Friday, February 27 at 8:00 pm. Adults $10.00 and students $5.00. For the 2014-15 school year, Georgia will begin rolling out new assessments aligned to the CCGPS. The new assessments will be used to gauge how well students are mastering the standards and, ultimately, how ready students are to succeed in college and careers.
