  • Amaris Hawkins - Rice Teacher of the Year 2014-2015

    I am extremely honored to serve as the 2014-2015 Rice Teacher of the Year. This is my fourth year as the Math Support Coach. I am a Valdosta State University Alumni and a Macon, GA native. I’m currently pursuing a Master’s Degree at Walden University. I am a teacher who loves teaching children to love learning. I am passionate about working with students not only at Rice, but district wide. I believe in making learning meaningful, exciting, and rigorous. I exude these characteristics in my classroom each day.

    Breakfast is 8:00-8:30 a.m.
