Eighteen Howard High School honor graduates donate their time, resources, and efforts in planning and organizing Springdale Elementary's Junior Beta Induction Ceremony Wednesday, May 13, 2015. The HHS students who are former Springdale Elementary students joined Junior Beta while attending Springdale Elementary and gave speeches to the inductee students and their families about their successes and how attending Springdale Elementary contributed to their collective academic successes. These same honor graduates collectively received more than $1 million dollars in scholarship funds to attend universities and colleges in the fall. HHS honor graduates donated a bench and plaque to their former elementary and thanked their former teachers with a presentation of a rose.

Springdale's First 15 MILLIONAIRE READERS

Springdale Elementary teachers spend time engaged in a variety of professional learning. Increasing the opportunities for professional learning is the leverage point with the greatest potential for strengthening and refining the day-to-day performance of educators. Professional learning signals the importance of educators taking an active role in their continuous development and places emphasis on their learning. The professional learning that occurs enrolls educators as active partners in determining the content of their learning, how their learning occurs, and how they evaluate its effectiveness. Professional learning gives educators the information they need to take leadership roles as advocates for and facilitators of effective professional learning and the conditions required for its success. Widespread attention to professional learning increases equity of access to a high-quality education for every student.

Our Vision:

Each student demonstrates strength of character and is college or career ready.

Our Mission:

The Bibb County School District will develop a highly trained staff and an engaged community dedicated to educating each student for a 21st century global society.

About Our School
Springdale serves approximately 702 students in grades PreK through five. The campus is nestled in a woodsy, well-established, safe community in north Bibb County. Many realtors speak of Springdale as an asset when selling a home in the district.

Our teaching staff is highly qualified with an average of 15 years of experience in the classroom. 62% of our faculty hold advanced graduate degrees. Cutting edge technology, highly-qualified teachers, and supportive parents all help prepare our students to be successful. Springdale won Georgia's Bronze Award three times since 2006 for the highest percentage of students meeting and exceeding standards on the CRCT state assessment.  To win the Bronze award, over 95% of students have to meet or exceed standards on the CRCT for two consecutive years.

We invite you to come by and see for yourself that Springdale's Eagles have strength of character and are becoming college ready. To schedule your personal tour of the school, please call the school office at 478-779-3750. We encourage you to visit with us and see why many families choose Springdale.

A Message from thePrincipal, Donna Jackson

Welcome to Springdale Elementary School!  I am excited about returning to Springdale as your principal.  I have worked in the Bibb County School System for 23 years.  I am pleased to be a part of your school community and look forward to meeting and working with each of you.

My commitment to you, our school family, is to do all I can to maintain and foster a warm, caring, and enriching environment for all of our students.  The most important thing I can do as your leader is to create a safe environment where all children can learn.  We will strive to help the students maximize their potential.  Our children deserve more than an adequate education, they deserve an outstanding education!  We will set our standards high and know that our students will succeed.

I am pleased to join your school community and invite you to become and integral part of our school.  We need your help in making certain this year is a successful one.  It is important that each and every student and parent know that they are important to our school.  As parents, you know your child better than anyone else.  For this reason, we want you to help guide us in making decisions and educational goals for your child.  We share with you the responsibility for the instruction and guidance of your child.  We sincerely invite your involvement in maintaining a standard of excellence at Springdale Elementary.

Thank you in advance for your cooperation and for sharing your children with us.
