Bibb County School District Accreditation Process
This school year our district is participating in the accreditation process.  This process was formerly known as SACS. Now this process is known as AdvancED Accreditation.  The goal of the process is to assure that our district is participating in a continuous improvement process.  This site provides helpful information to our district and community about the accreditation process.
The protocol for this process is different than the process that we've gone through in the past.  This new protocol is a performance-based model that employs diagnostic tools for systems to:
  • Conduct Internal Reviews focused on evaluating performance related to
    • Standards and indicators
    • Student Performance
    • Stakeholder Feedback
As a school district we must meet several expectations.  They are:
  • Meet AdvancED Acccreditation Standards for Quality Systems
  • Implement a systemic continuous improfvement process
  • Conduct Internal Review
    • Executive Summary
    • Standards Self-Assessment
    • Stakeholder Feedback Diagnostic (System Level Analysis)
    • Student Performance Diagnostic (System Level Analysis)
    • Improvement Plan
    • Assurances
  • Host an External Review
  • Respond to Required Actions
In view of our district Management Plan, we are excited about this accreditation process and expect it to propel us forward in helping our students demonstrate strength of character and be college ready.
