Dr. Erin Weaver and Bruce Giroux serve as the Deputy Superintendents of Teaching and Learning.
Dr. Weaver most recently served as the District's Director of Early Childhood Education before retiring in 2011. Prior to her role as a Director, she served as Principal of Central High School for five years, and Assistant Principal of Central High for five years. She also has served as a faculty member at Georgia College (now Georgia College and State University), and was a Cohort Leader for Georgia College's Macon Campus. Dr. Weaver also has taught at the elementary school level.
Her academic achievements include a Doctor of Education in Educational Leadership from the University of Georgia, a Specialist of Education in Early Childhood and a Master of Education in Reading from Georgia College, and a Bachelor of Science in Elementary Education from Iowa State University.
Mr. Giroux most recently served as the Director of Research, Evaluation, Assessment and Accountability prior to retiring with 35 years of experience with Bibb County in June 2012. He also served as Principal of Hamilton Elementary and Springdale Elementary schools. Mr. Giroux was also Assistant Principal at Rice Elementary and Springdale Elementary schools.
He holds an Educational Specialist degree in Educational Leadership from the University of Georgia, a Master of Arts Education in Educational Administration and Education Psychology from Ball State University, and a Bachelor of Science in Music Education from the University of Maine, Orono.
